 District 8: Fountain & Fort Carson The Fountain-Fort Carson District continues to successfully hurdle an obstacle other school districts rarely face -- providing a balanced education to students who move often because parents are in the military. Current enrollment is 4,100 in six elementary, two middle and a high school. District construction completed in 1994 includes an elementary school with a capacity of 800 and a $2.2 million addition to Carson Middle School of computer and technology labs, a gymnasium, cafeteria and rooms for music and band. District policy allows students who do not live within district boundaries to attend tuition free upon approval. District 8 has one alternative school. No Web Site
